The Northern Territory Government and the Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation today launched Jabiru Kabolkmakmen Ltd (JKL), a company that will guide the township in its transition to a post-mining future.

Jabiru Masterplan: Tourism and Regional Service Hub
On the 26th July 2018 the Territory Labor Government and Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation unveiled the Mirarr Peoples’ vision for the town of Jabiru, a Masterplan which repositions Jabiru, post-mining, to a tourism and regional services hub.
$216M pledge to revitalise the world heritage-listed Kakadu National Park
The prime minister, Scott Morrison, visited the town of Jabiru on Sunday to announce the Coalition’s $216m package. The government’s plan includes $70m for road upgrades and up to $111m to improve tourism infrastructure.
